      Goggle FAQs

      The "One-Lens" Solution: Lucent Photochromic
If you don't want to worry about VLT (Visible Light Transmission) percentages or swapping lenses midday, then Pret's high-altitude photochromic system is for you.

Pret’s Lucent Photochromic lenses use NXT® technology to automatically adjust their tint based on the UV light hitting them. Seamlessly adapting from "bluebird" sunny skies to flat-light conditions. As the light transmission adjusts, the lens also shifts its contrast levels to ensure your vision remains sharp without you ever having to stop and change gear.

      The Storm Specialist: Lucent Storm
When skiing in harsh, low-visibility conditions (snow, fog, or "white-outs"), quickly swap out for Pret's dedicated storm lens.

Instead of a dark tint that blocks light, the Lucent Storm lens uses a specific color profile and a light mirror coating designed to maximize contrast from the very small amount of light available.

These contrast-enhancing optics define terrain details (like bumps and ice patches) that would otherwise be invisible in a white-out.

Our focus on seamless helmet/goggle integration is the key to preventing fog. Pret’s VisionVent is a precisely tuned system that perfectly aligns the helmet’s forward vents with the goggle's top vents. This creates a constant, active draft of air that sweeps moisture and hot, humid air out of the goggle and through the helmet, eliminating fog before it can start. Clarity is everything.

Need to see the magic in action? Hit our VisionVent page for the full breakdown.

Start by adjusting your Pret helmet for a snug, comfortable fit using the Ripcord 360 Fit. Once your helmet feels secure, place your goggles on and gently tighten the strap until they sit comfortably and evenly on your face. Align the goggle frame with the helmet brim — our VisionVentsystem is designed to create a seamless connection between the two, eliminating the dreaded “gaper gap” and maximizing airflow and fog-free performance.

Got a storm rolling in or the sun just broke through? With the Snapmag system, you can swap lenses in a flash with a bomber magnetic connection that keeps your lens locked in tight.

Snapmag uses 8 high-strength magnets that grab the lens and hold it tight to the frame. The lens sits perfectly inside the frame edge for maximum accuracy and strength. Plus, our easy-to-find pull tab means you can quickly get your fingers on the lens for fast transitions, even with your gloves on.
