American Airlines - Celebrity Ski 2020 Benefitting Cystic Fibrosis
Each March, we make a short pilgrimage to an industry event to do contribute what we can back to the community. American Airlines has run the Celebrity Ski event for 35 years where celebrities can purchase equipment from brand partners via auction or directly and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
"When this event began 34 years ago, we could have only imagined the promising treatments and science that has since been realized to assist patients with cystic fibrosis,” said Elise Eberwein, Executive Vice President – People & Engagement for American. “The critical work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is changing lives and giving individuals living with CF more tomorrows. Together with the more than 30 team member and retiree volunteers who bring this event to life every year, we are committed to continuing to bring attention and research dollars to orphan diseases like CF."
This year Pret donated 12 Helmets to auction which yielded $26,000 in donations and another $5,500 in direct helmets sales during the event for a total of about $32,000. "This has been our most successful event to date and we are thrilled that our helmets are able to demand such a return for the foundation," says Pret CEO Steve Bellefueille.
