Developed & Delivered! Eric Carter’s Disposable Camera Diary.

We recently handed a disposable camera to Pret athlete Eric Carter and told him to go wild. No fancy filters, no staged lodge shots, just raw, unfiltered mountain joy.
Here is Eric’s unfiltered look at a day in the life of Eric.
The Pre-Dawn Ritual

"I’m up just after 5:00 AM for tea and a weather check. By 7:30, we’re in our guide meeting building the avalanche forecast and planning the run list. I love watching the helicopters get pushed out of the hangar in the pre-dawn light. Our office sits right over it, I always pop my head out to say good morning to our 'little birdies.'"
The "Office"

"I think we have the best terrain here in the Sea to Sky. It’s wild terrain that I’ve spent a lot of time skiing in. Our core guide team consists of four members, all of whom are dads. It makes decisions a lot easier when your coworkers are your best friends. Also, we fly A-star B3e helicopters, which are freaking fast!"
The Feeling of the Send

"There are a lot of conflicting emotions. On my end, there’s intense focus on safety and conditions. The guests often have apprehension about being in unknown terrain and putting 100% trust in us. But then we finally get out and start sliding on snow. It’s sheer joy for both guides and guests! I try to pause and remind everyone exactly how lucky we are."
The Reward

"It’s always a good feeling seeing guests getting tired! If we’re shredding deep pow and going hard, people are worked at the end of the day. I want them to go home satisfied and ready to sleep well! This particular day? Deep pow, amazing terrain, and great clients—just another day in the powder mines!"
The Sign-Off

"After the final meeting, I blast off for a slice of pizza at Green Lake Station and then hopefully home in time for daycare pickup!"
